The 16mm double snaffle bit helps to maintain light contact with the horse.

Slightly arched, it encourages the horse to come and rest on the bit.

It's an ideal bit for starting out with a young horse, for example.

The free sliding rings of the loose ring snaffle allow the horse to adjust the position of the bit in his mouth.

This tends to cause the horse to relax its jaw and chew the bit, encouraging the horse to accept the bit.

When the reins are taken, the rings move so that the bit is automatically positioned correctly.

The double break prevents pressure on the roof of the mouth.

Balanced weight distribution on tongue and jaw.

More forgiving of errors caused by a strong hand or a rider pulling on the reins.

Sweet Copper alloy is 90% solid copper, 7% iron and 3% aluminium.

It gives off a pleasant flavour when it comes into contact with the horse's mouth, encouraging it to chew and salivate, thus relaxing its jaw.
