The free sliding rings of the loose ring snaffle allow the horse to adjust the position of the bit in his mouth.

This tends to cause the horse to relax his jaw and chew the bit, encouraging the horse to accept the bit.

When the reins are taken, the rings move so that the bit is automatically positioned correctly.

The copper alloy helps the horse to accept the bit better.

Copper gives off a pleasant flavour when it comes into contact with the horse's mouth, encouraging it to chew and salivate, so relaxing its jaw.

Soft Copper is made up of: 90% solid copper, 7% iron and 3% aluminium (nickel-free) Soft Copper is a very strong alloy.

The edges of the ring holes in Stubben STEELtec bits have rounded edges, which minimise the risk of pinching.
